Blake Lively's redheaded debut

Score one for the gingers! Rising superstar Blake Lively has traded in her signature blonde locks for a seriously head-turning shade of red. In New York for the Time 100 Gala, Miss Lively was in her element as she posed for photographers on the red carpet last night. As for the dress? A stunning seafoam green gown by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad that contrasted beautifully with the 23-year-old starlet's new hair colour.
Time magazine's annual Time 100 Gala honours the "100 Most Influential People in the World" - and naturally, Blake was on the list, alongside 99 other modern-day icons including Oprah Winfrey, Justin Bieber, Michelle Obama and Mark Zuckerberg (click here to see who else made the cut).
The normally-blonde star has come a long way from her beginnings as a small time actress: aside from now having a string of successful movies under her belt, she's also become something of a style icon and is one of the most photographed women in the world. That little endorsement deal she has going with Chanel certainly hasn't done her any harm either...

Sadly my brief stint with purple hair wasn't anywhere near as attractive (or matched with nearly as beautiful a dress) as Ms Lively's up there : P
