Summer hair

Now that summer is just around the corner (for us Aussies anyway) it's time to take a more relaxed approach to your hair. If you've been styling it almost every day, then stop - now! Get a deep conditioning treatment, either at home or at the salon, and a trim if you really need one, then choose to style your hair less often in the name of saving your tresses from damage... and of course, staying on-trend. There's nothing worse than overly-done hair on a hot summer's day.
When you're out in the sun, use a hair sunscreen to protect your mane from UV light. There is one exception here - if you have natural, undyed hair and enjoy the highlights that summer brings, then you can skip the hair sunscreen and deep-condition later. For natural streaks, the best combination is sun and salt water... which just so happen to be two of the best things about summer!
If your hair's long, make sure it's long enough to fit inside your ponytail and stay off your neck, as you will find it annoying in the heat if you can't do this. Experiment with a variety of updos for nights out - try pinning in some fresh flowers to make your summer hair extra feminine, or try a bright, unusual hair clip. The main thing is to lay off the heat styling, as summer is so humid that it's often rendered useless.
Don't forget the conditioner!
