The CWC

Now what, you ask, is a CWC? It stands for condition-wash-condition, and it means exactly that - conditioning before you shampoo, then conditioning again. It made my hair extremely soft and silky, and it's worth a try to see if it brings the same results for you.
When it comes to conditioners, you typically get what you pay for. Salon-quality conditioners are always going to be better than what you can get at the supermarket (though this is beginning to change). When it comes to the first condition, it's worth using a cheaper conditioner, as you'll be washing it out immediately afterward. When you've shampooed your hair, give it a good rinse and apply your higher-quality conditioner. Leave it in for five minutes and rinse thoroughly.
Now there is such a thing as over-conditioning your hair - when this happens, the hair tends to become flyaway, so if the CWC does this to your hair then you know you're getting enough conditioning from the one application only.
Ideally, you should CWC your hair once a week, in addition to your weekly deep-conditioning treatment. Although you may initially notice some oiliness, after about a month you'll discover that your hair has become softer, shinier and much easier to manage than it was before.
