The Importance of Scalp Massage
May 27th 2008 04:28
If you're growing your hair long, then you want to know all you can to make it grow faster. This is why I cannot stress enough the importance of scalp massage. It stimulates the blood flow to your scalp and boosts the oxygen intake of your hair's follicles, resulting in faster-growing hair. Plus, it's relaxing!
If you can't afford a regular scalp massage at your salon (and let's face it - most of us can't) then learn to give yourself a scalp massage. It's not hard - just massage your head in a way that feels good and makes your scalp feel 'alive'. Run your fingers through your hair, and tug on it gently. Do it for as long as you can. Indulging like this just once a week will result in healthier-looking hair, and done over a period of months you'll notice a boost in your hair's natural growth rate. You can use oils if you want - I use a mix of Rosemary and Jojoba that smells great and makes my scalp tingle - but the massage works just as well without.
So if longer, healthier-looking hair is what you want, massage your scalp on a regular basis, and your locks will thank you for it.
